Evolution and Involution

Sharing My Journey with Social Media

I want to share some of my recent challenges around engaging with social media.

Between 2019 and 2021, as I began offering my services, I flourished with very minimal social media presence. A small post here and there in Facebook groups, a simple copy-paste into WhatsApp groups — and that was enough. I was happy with that.

In recent years, however, as I traveled to places like Koh Phangan and Bali, I found myself in spaces where engaging on social media became constant, almost necessary. I felt the pressure to “legitimize” myself and my offerings online. It was a conflicting time for me, because I saw how social media could feed the unhealthy sides of my ego — vanity, narcissism, and shallow connections.

It took me many years to find values that could truly support my presence here, values that would allow me to engage in this space with integrity — even something as simple as creating a website.

For a long time, I was deeply content with my offerings being shared purely through word of mouth — through love, inspiration, and the genuine amazement of those who experienced my spaces.

Now, I’m learning to hold both: to honor the purity of my intentions while allowing myself to be seen, to share, and to expand — not from a place of needing validation, but from a place of service.
